protek theme setup
what you'll need:
from Cydia:
infinidock, iconoclasm, categoriesSB, iBlank & BlankNull, matte graphite UI (optional but highly recommended)(note: you can use stacks instead of categoriesSB, there is a separate iconoclasm layout for stacks) and my protek.theme from here or deviantART
Firstly, once you have downloaded and unzipped the theme and all the packages above, use cyberduck or iphone explorer to ssh into you iPhone. Goto /Library/iconoclasm/Layouts and place the layouts from the protek folder here. If you are using categories use the procat layout, if stacks use the prostack layout. These are different as the categoriesSB program uses the underlying icon layout to display your icons. as there is only 1 line of icons for the theme this looks a little silly. If using stacks it displays your icons separately from the springboard, so we only need the one line. This walkthrough will from now on assume you are using CategoriesSB, and if you are using stacks, i will assume you know to rename the icons and put them into the relevant stack folders.
Also SSH the protek.theme into var/stash/themes.
So, go into settings>iconoclasm and enable with the protek layout.
Now put all your icons from the springboard and into the dock, using infinidock (Go to settings>infinidock and use 5 icons per page, scrolling ON, Paging OFF, Scrolling snap ON). Open categories and create five folders, named home, media, apps, games and misc. Place all of your icons into their relevant folders apart from the ones you egularly use, Ie, Twitter, Facebook etc. Edit one of the folders and turn off all settings apart from hide dock, animate open/close, and swipe to close. Choose apply to all categories, and respring.
Open iBlank and create 16 blank icons. Arrange the Categories icons down the side and your springboard should look like this:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Finally go into WinterBoard and enable protek (put at top of list), matte graphiteUI, and your favourite icon theme (i recommend Suave by Thyraz ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ).
included is an icon template so u can make your own dock icons with photoshop.
Thanks,
