I found this on iModZone.net, thanks to: NeonCoyote and iPhoneheat.com
Created with the release of Pwnage Tool 3.1.4. I DID NOT MAKE THESE! These come from a trusted source, and I thank the person who took the time to upload these. I used this with iREB and it worked without a hitch, so I hope this helps out other members as well.
There are two types of Custom Firmwares available for download below.
1) iPhone 3G(S) 3.1.2 - 1GB Root Partition, UNACTIVATED, Cydia, Stock Boot Logos

All of the iPhone custom ipsw's preserve the baseband, so don't feel scared with using these IPSWs.

- ACTIVATED: This custom IPSW file is for users who want to unlock their iPhone which means they are NOT on Official Carrier only.
- NOT ACTIVATED: This custom IPSW file is for users who are on Official Carrier only.
